WHAT TO DO HERE

From morning ‘til night, downtown is brimming with local flavor.

Start out the day with breakfast at Old Town Café, and feed that sweet tooth at Rocket Donuts (be sure to check out the cool rocket sculpture next to it!) or at Opera French (delicious pastries!). Grab a brew at Boundary Bay, or stop by Pepper Sisters for some incredible American Southwest cuisine. Take little ones to the Children’s Museum, pick up fresh groceries at the farmers market or Terra Organica, or take in the sights at an art walk!

When the sun goes down, craft cocktails and local beer are aplenty! Head out to enjoy some live music and theater (locals recommend Mt Baker Theatre, Pickford Theatre, and Limelight Theatre)—a world of entertainment and fun are all at your fingertips!

“The pride of the community is really felt in the downtown area. The community saved the Mt Baker Theatre which is an amazing place to visit and still has wonderful live shows and music weekly. There is the Pickford and Limelight Theatres, which have such a nice local flavor and is run a lot by volunteers. Pretty much every corner there is a at least one coffee shop, brewery, great ethnic or local restaurant and/or bakery to visit and explore. Families and couples of all ages are walking around downtown during the day and night - so very nice to see!”

“I love having our farmer's market downtown and so many wonderful places for live music. I'm glad that more and more people are living downtown which makes it more of a neighborhood then only a business district.”

Meredith, Bellingham Resident

“While the area has kept the historic aspect, it has also become a fun place to hang out, eat, explore during the day and at night for all ages. From homemade ice cream at Mallards, and healthy, organic breakfasts and lunches at Old Town café, to fun beer and food locations like Aslan Brewery, there is something for all ages right down town in lil' ol' Bellingham.”
